Reduce energy cost and cut off carbon emission
The sub-Sahara biggest brewery which has over four production plants in Nigeria wanted to reduce its energy cost as well as to reduce its carbon emission.
Project Description

A 150 kWp rooftop solar PV with full integration into the energy mix of the breweries as part of their COP 21 commitment to go green before 2025 Status: 1st phase completed.

Protergia became the first company to develop the first commercial project in a brewery

International Brewery Plc (Anheuser-Busch InBev) is the world’s largest brewer. The company committed to solar-powered brewing operations to reduce cost and carbon emission footprint and as such, Protergia Nigeria Limited completed a 150 kWp PV installation at its Sagamu plant which energizes the engine and control room (sub-3) of the plant. International Brewery Plc (ABInBev) looks to increase renewable energy power generation and eventually energize the whole 2.5MW plant with sustainable energy in future phases of the project.

International Brewery Plc became the first fully solar-powered brewery in Nigeria. It has become a role model in its industry.
